Working Principal
At the core of the JJR 8000 solid state soft starter, a DSP microprocessor serves as the central processing unit, governing motor start-up sequences and protection protocols. This intelligent control system manages the phase firing to the Silicon-Controlled Rectifiers (SCRs), which in turn modulates the voltage and current supplied to the motor. By progressively building up motor torque until rated speed is achieved, this method drastically curtails the characteristic inrush current and associated mechanical shock.
