Operating Principle
The JJR8800 soft starter drive is driven by a high-performance DSP controller that precisely regulates the firing angle of Silicon Controlled Rectifiers (SCRs). During motor startup, the SCR conduction angle is adjusted to control the output voltage and current supplied to the motor. This controlled acceleration minimizes inrush current, reduces mechanical stress on the motor and driven equipment, and limits voltage disturbances on the power supply network.
