High Speed Rewinding Machine

RENLE’s high speed rewinding machine drive system uses a rectification feedback device, which feeds energy generated during paper return back to the power grid in real time, thereby saving energy and reducing consumption. The system structure is similar to that of a paper machine drive, but with higher control requirements. In particular, the rapid acceleration and deceleration of the rewinding machine demand extremely precise control. To improve drive accuracy, tension sensors are typically added to the mechanical system.

Working principle of rewinding machine

 

The paper roll taken from the paper roll machine is placed on the unwinding rack of the high speed rewinding machine, which is equipped with a driving motor, photoelectric encoder, and butterfly-type brake. The braking torque of the driving motor on the unwinding rack is controlled based on the calculated diameter of the unwinding roll to ensure uniform tension of the paper web during operation. This maintains even tightness of the rewound paper roll and enables rapid braking when the paper breaks.

The paper web is drawn from the paper roll and enters the paper feeding roller device. It then passes sequentially through the movable arc roller, paper guide roller, longitudinal cutting device, another paper guide roller, and movable arc roller before entering the pneumatic lower paper feeding device.

After winding begins, the paper web is wrapped around the paper core. The paper roll relies on its own weight to press against the paper core, ensuring proper contact between the core and the front and rear support rollers. The paper core is driven by the two support rollers to move the paper web forward. The top paper device is controlled by a hydraulic cylinder to clamp and quickly position the paper core.

The paper web length is automatically measured based on the speed of the support roller motor, and the diameter of the finished paper roll is calculated to enable an automatic stop function based on preset length and diameter.

Drive control system for rewinding machine

 

product-260-390 During rapid stopping or paper break emergency stops of the rewinder, the mother roll acts as a high-inertia load, generating a large amount of regenerative energy during braking. The energy feedback rectifier unit recovers this energy from the system's mechanical load instead of dissipating it as heat through braking resistors or mechanical holding brakes. By recovering and reusing the energy, overall power consumption and operating costs are reduced, improving the system's energy efficiency.
